It is important to have parents' support for the contest. Their
encouragement and recognition will help students enjoy the contest
more and send the message '
It is COOL to be good at math!'

Prepare for the Contest:
The NLMC
problems are non-routine math problems that call for creativity,
originality, and thinking skills. To help your students become familiar
with the types of problems, please host a
practice session prior to the contest and let your students work out
past contest problems.
As a team leader, you are given two sets of past tests for students to
practice. After you log into the Team Leader portal, click on 'Practice
Problems.'
If you don't have time for a practice
session during class, advise students to study and
practice at home.
Download the Contest Papers:
The contest
papers (problems and keys) will be posted on the Team Leader portal
three days prior to
the contest date. Simply log on to the Team Leader portal and click on 'Documents.' If there
is any problem downloading the contest papers, please contact us as soon
as possible. Please download the contest paper and make copies for your
students prior to the contest date.
